The Easter Cantata is a Lenten musical and theatrical presentation offered by the members of the Elderton Presbyterian Church to the community at large. Taking over three months to regularly rehearse and prepare, and involving around 80 cast members, this cantata is presented in a 3 day format – Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings – at the end of Lent. Each season focuses on a different script and music, but each is centered on the life of Jesus and tells the story of His passion and resurrection. Featuring costumes, lighting, dramatic and musical presentation, the Easter Cantata provides a powerful witness to over 900 people that attend over the three day weekend.
